The North Coast Lyme Disease Support Group is in the process
of forming, in response to research and publicity begun
by Jentri Anders, PhD. Formal organization, including non-profit
status, is expected, depending on the level of interest
expressed by the public. For now, the purpose of the group
is to simply make good information on Lyme disease available
to the public and to monitor the response to it. If you
would like to be included on our mailing list, please contact
us by email or mail.
Dr. Anders is willing to give workshops on Lyme disease
to any entity in the county who requests it. She is an anthropologist,
a retired college lecturer and journalist, a 30-year resident
of Humboldt County and a late-stage Lyme patient. Her labor,
expertise and research is absolutely free, though travelling
expenses might be requested outside the Humboldt Bay Area:

Since non-profit status has not yet been obtained, monetary
donations cannot be accepted at present. However, the group
needs legal advice, access to a copy machine or free or
cut-rate copying.
